Meadow Mind: Substack to Magazine is a browser extension and a companion website that turn the posts you have saved on Substack into a printable magazine.

What the extension does

When you use it, the extension reads your Substack Saved list and the full text of the posts you select, using the Substack session already signed in to your browser. It does this only when you click through its steps. It never reads other browsing, never runs in the background, and never offers the text as a download.

What is sent to the website

When you click Send to the magazine builder, the extension sends the selected posts (text, images addresses, titles, authors, publication names), your chosen title, cover settings, the name you typed for the cover, your Substack display name and user id, and a random identifier the extension generated for your browser. That identifier is stored only as a hash and lets you see your own past issues.

What the website keeps, and for how long

The website stores each issue to render your PDF and to show you a preview. Post text, images and PDFs are deleted automatically after 14 days. A record of the issue (title, dates, section names, counts) is kept so your issue numbers stay consistent.

What is not collected

No Substack password or cookie ever leaves your browser. The website does not use advertising or analytics trackers and does not sell or share data.

Writers' opt-out

Writers and publications who ask not to be included are added to an opt-out list; their posts are excluded by the extension and again by the website.
